In alphabetical order, from the Adam & Eve, Kensington High Street, to the Zetland Arms, South Kensington, and from the celebrated (Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, Fleet Street, reputedly Dr Johnson's favourite pub) to less well-known hostelries throughout Greater London. Fine b & w drawings by Miriam Macgregor enhance the text. This copy is a 3rd impression of 1964 (first published 1962). As well as being an entertaining read, 'London Pubs' is also a historical record as many of the featured pubs are no longer open.
