We understand, use, fly and stand behind what we sell! The free advice comes from 50 years of experience with radio control! PLUG AND GO 2.4 GHz MODULE FOR JR BAY COMPATIBLE TRANSMITTERS (DSMX/DSM2 COMPATIBLE BUT PLEASE ONLY IN DSMX MODE IN EUROPE/UK) such as FrSky TARANIS & X7/TURNIGY 9X/ RADIOMASTER TX16/ CLONES WHICH USE THE JR MODULE BAY TRANSMITTERS.

The Lemon Rx DSMP Plug and Go transmitter module (Generation 2) operates in serial mode to support EdgeTX radios by Radiomaster, Jumper, FrSky and others. In this mode the module supports features including telemetry, TEXTGEN, Forward Programming, and model match. The revolutionary DSMP protocol based on software defined radio packet allows full compatibility with all DSMX and DSM2 receivers and UMX models.

The Internal multi modules are due to become unavailable soon so this will be your only chance to use the DSMX protocol with your new EDGETX transmitter in the very near future.

It conforms to UKCA and CE standards, making it's use fully legal in the UK and the EU.

The module also supports PPM mode, which is compatible with a wide range of legacy radios.

Serial mode (EdgeTX)
- Make sure to use the latest EdgeTX firmware and DSM Tools.
- Select "External Module" under Model Setup. Set mode to “LemonRX DSMX”
- If the radio uses AETR channel order, set “Enable AETR” to remap channels to TAER for compatibility with Lemon and Spektrum receivers.
- Put receiver into bind mode. On the radio select “Bind” under External RF.
-Range check is available under External RF.

Legacy PPM
- Select "External Module" under Model Setup. Set mode to “PPM”.
- Turn OFF radio. Put receiver into bind mode.
- Press and hold module Bind/Range Check button while turning ON radio.
- Hold button until module light turns green. Receiver light should be solid.

Note: Early JR Txs, such as the Apex series, require an easy mod by Removing some of the Plastic case around the pin socket to allow the module to fully engage and "click home" in the Tx module bay.

Earlier and other non module style of transmitters will require the use of the LemonRx DIY module which needs to be wired in to the transmitter. Condition is "New". UK STOCK and dispatched with Royal Mail  Tracked delivery.

The range and reliability is equal to or better than other 2.4 GHz modules from ORX and FrSky that I have used in my transmitter conversions. It is further development using the latest Chipset for DSMX/DSM 2 (SPEKTRUM) protocols, no problems found losing the bind as can be found with other modules.

The photos above show the module in operation with a pair of vintage JR APEX transmitters from the 1980s which have now been brought back into regular use.

The Lemon Rx DSMP™ Plug and Go transmitter module is designed specifically for any JR module bay capable transmitter that supports PPM or 9XR-DSM protocol. Example of these transmitters are RadioMaster TX16s, TX12, FrSky Taranis Q X7 and Turnigy 9x just to name a few.

The revolutionary DSMP protocol based on software defined radio packet allows full compatibility to all Horizon Hobby's DSMX or DSM2 compatible receiver as well as the bind and ready to fly model aircraft without any channel rescaling configuration required except the first 4 channels' order (TAER or namely Throttle, Aileron, Elevator, Rudder) need to be mapped.

Telemetry display and alert is supported at either PPM / 9XR-DSM protocol if the transmitter uses the ErSky firmware downloadable at http://www.er9x.com/.

Transmitter setup - Set to use external module with PPM output, 10 channels, 20ms spacing - Set to use JR / Spektrum/ Taranis TAER (Throttle, Aileron, Elevator, Rudder) channel mapping order - Do not re-scale any channels unless necessary.

This Plug and Go module has an internal re-scaler to ensure proper operation of all Lemon Rx receivers, the popular HH DSMX compatible or DSM2 compatible aircraft such as the UMX range of models.

Telemetry display and alert setup (FrSky firmware only) - Find your radio firmware at http://www.er9x.com/ and update it -PPM / 9XR-DSM protocol can all be used for receiver operation. Set telemetry packet decoding to accept DSM telemetry packet. Binding to DSMP™, DSMX compatible or DSM2 compatible receiver / planes -

Press and hold the button on the module - Turn on the transmitter and ignore all the warning messages (if any) - Wait until the module turns on with red light on and green light flashing - Release button - Observe indication. Green light on means binding is completed.

Red light flashing indicates bind fails. Turn off the transmitter and resume the whole binding procedure if bind fails. Please note that when used in multi model memory transmitters, by using the same type of protocol receivers (DSM2 OR DSMX from any manufacturer) in all the models in the Tx memory, you will then avoid having to rebind the module to the receiver selected, if it is of a different protocol to the protocol that the module has already been bound with..

In short, install the same type of protocol Rx in all models in the Tx memory.

Range check During normal operation (green light on), press and hold the button puts the module in range check mode (red light on). Range check mode passes with full control of the model from 30 metres away.

Release the button to allow full power transmission, it is now safe to fly.
