I'm going through all the microphones I've collected over 40 years and will be listing most of them in the next couple of weeks.
I purchased all these mics from Disney World years ago when they had auctions. Can't remember what I paid but I've used them for just about everything from vocials to drums, accustic guitar, electric guitar, percussion and everything in between. Each one has been tested to be in good working condition. Most of them are not really in that bad over-all condition for there age. The mic in this listing is one of the best looking out of all of these mics that I've listed. I replaced the upper foam inner liners also years ago and there still in great shape and will last for decades to come. These inner foam screens greatly help with the acoustics of the mic. If you buy any used DS35's you'll have to replace them as they are always in terrible shape. I do all this for you so you have peace of mind that your mic is 100% up to par. They haven't been used in at least 20 years and now that I don't use them for bands anymore I will be listing them one at a time. Two of them have very close serial numbers and I will list the together (#7004 & #7022). Four of them have no serial numbers where the serial numbers go. I will be listing them also as pairs. The EV DS35 Will Make A Great Addition To Any Mic Collection.
The Electro-Voice DS35 is a vintage dynamic cardioid microphone manufactured in the United States, primarily during the late 1970s through the late 1980s. Often referred to as a "Single-D" microphone, it was designed specifically for professional sound reinforcement and broadcasting where high gain-before-feedback and a focused cardioid pattern were essential.
The DS35 is a rugged cardioid dynamic microphone for professional sound reinforcement applications. It features an exclusive volumetric-hologram designed diaphragm providing wide and linear response at all angles of incidence with no off-axis colouration. The microphone head subassembly is shock-mounted in the case by a pneumatic absorber system that isolates the capsule from mechanical noise. The DS35 also features an integral pop filter to minimise plosive noise and at the same time protect the diaphragm from dirt and magnetic particles. The diaphragm is the exclusive ElectroVoice Acoustalloy with a laminated Volumetric dome, providing a smooth frequency response while being insensitive to high humidity, extreme temperatures and corrosion resistant. It is finished in fawn beige micomatte.
Notable Features & Performance
- Variable Low-Frequency Response: The DS35 features a "Single-D" design, which means it has a significant proximity effect. When used "close up" (within a quarter-inch), the bass response is greatly enhanced, allowing for a more robust vocal tone.

I mostly use hard and soft foam to pack.
