Antique CRESTED Silver Meat Skewer, Pseudo marks 19th Century
Interesting silver meat skewer, on first glance it would appear to be hallmarked from London in 1798, however the duty head gives it away as not being accurate, this is a 19th century copy with trying to mimic the British marks, very collectable in its own right. Thought to be American in origin and quite possibly by Jonathan Davenport but this can not be proved as fact.
Carries a family crest that we have not researched.
In good order measuring 127mm in length.
