This is an original antique colour plate, taken from Belgium Painted by Amedée Forestier, published in 1908.
Titled: “Antwerp – The Concierge of the Musée Plantin-Moretus” this charming watercolour scene captures a glimpse of daily life at the famous Antwerp printing museum, complete with its original captioned tissue guard.
The print has been carefully removed from the original volume and is ready for mounting and framing.
It remains in good condition with some very mild age-related discolouration, entirely expected for a piece over 106 years old, which only adds to its authentic vintage charm once displayed.
