Having done this for 60+ years ... these LARGE 15 1/2"IMARI CHARGERS just seldom appear in the fine Estates and seldom worldwide on the open market. (Later issues are found.) To me it appears flawless and even the touched gold leaf is fantastic with no loss. It appears to have an impressed mark in the porcelain ...see photo #15 .... I cannot make it out.

The daughter, heir to the Estate ..said her mother was given this from a Chinese "well to do lady" back many years ago ... and I was wondering ....and then it confused me, as I have always known this to be JAPANESE IMARI .... SO.... I went to my CHINESE on line selling site .&.I FOUND THIS ALMOST EXACT CHARGER, that was sold in CHINA for 5,000 Yuan, which would be about $738.12 in U.S. Funds. I found that interesting ... and passing that information on, for whatever. It is a FANTASTIC FIND .... and you will be so PLEASED UPON ARRIVAL ..Trust my many years experience.
It appears the lady has gathered Wheat or Rice ..she is RESTING on the stack ... SMOKING A PIPE ... yes, that is what it looks like. In her other hand is the small machete and bag that held the sharpener ... OH MY she was a BUSY LADY!
