Antique Emil Busch 30× D.Z.F. German Military Field Telescope
An exceptionally impressive original German military-issue field-observation telescope manufactured by Emil Busch of Rathenow, one of Germany’s leading historical optical-instrument manufacturers.

This substantial high-powered telescope features a long multi-draw construction, leather-covered body and grip sections, black-japanned metal tubes, metal trim rings, a large objective lens and an extending objective ray shade.
It is believed to date from the Imperial German or First World War period, probably circa 1890–1918. The early Busch script-and-sunburst trademark is consistent with pre-WWI Busch optical instruments.
