On offer for your consideration we have an antique German dollhouse miniature kitchen metal coffee grinder.

This rare and unusual metal coffee grinder is attributed to Rock & Graner in Biberacher Germany around 1860-1870. The Rock & Graner company was the most important maker of the tin toys over all of Europe from miniatures for the dollhouse, kitchen, horse drawn carriages, trains and many other pieces. They quality of workmanship and details were as good as it get. This rare hand made tin and iron coffee grinder has a tray below the hand turned coffee bean cylinder that would hold the coal to roast the beans. This is only the third time that I have ever saw this piece, once in the Nuremberg toy museum and the other in a private collection in Germany.

This floor stand model is 4 1/4"H x 3 7/8" wide at base x 8 1/4"L. The door t the roasting cylinder open to pour in the coffee beans just like the real large size model. Excellent, no repair to the metal or finish, all original, a true rarity.
