This is a beautiful vintage stoneware advertising jug from the Ehrle Bros. Winery, located in the historic Amana Colonies of Iowa. The piece features a classic two-tone aesthetic with a rich, dark brown glazed top and a tan salt-glazed body. The front is clearly marked with the winery name, location, 1974 date, and its original 4/5 quart capacity.
Condition Details:
The jug is in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is some light, age-appropriate crazing on the bottom of this jug. The small indentation visible on the bottom rim is a manufacturing kiln mark from the original firing process and is not damage. Please note that the original cork has dried over time and is currently located inside the jug.
