Initially, it was second only to Augarten, but since the mid-19th century, it has won numerous honors at the London and Paris expositions, becoming a leading and popular kiln to this day. Initially, it was only second to Augarten (then the Royal Vienna), but it rose to fame after exhibiting at the 1851 Great Exhibition in London. Herend caught the eye of Queen Victoria and purchased a set of tableware there.
