Following on from the success of his books detailing the honours and awards to the North and South Staffordshire Regiments in World War I author Jeffrey Elson has now turned his attention to those awarded to the regiments from 1919 through their amalgamation in 1959 right up to 2007 when the 1st Battalion Staffordshire Regiment (Prince of Wales’s) became part of the Mercian Regiment and ceased to be an independent unit within the British Army. The new work covers all awards made to members of the regiment from the Victoria Cross to the Mention in Despatches. Also covered are regimental awards and foreign honours.
