This is an original antique program from The Barnum and Bailey Greatest Show on Earth Circus which featured the “newly added magnificent spectacle” Cleopatra with a cast of 1250 people.  This program is a booklet format of 32 pages plus the covers measuring about 10” x 6.75”.   The front cover is overprinted with the venue of Brockton (Massachusetts) with the date Monday, June 3 (which is 1912).   

This program is profusely illustrated throughout and has lavish descriptions of the various circus acts with the main event being the massive production of Cleopatra which is described as “…the Most Wonderful Spectacle Ever Produced on Earth, Built and Acted by the Greatest Artists in the World. The Most Wonderful Event in Circus History.”  Several pages in the program are devoted to the massive Cleopatra production that headlined the 1912 and 1913 Barnum and Bailey circuses.   

Other acts featured in the program from the 1912 Barnum and Bailey Circus include The Siegrist-Silbon Troupe of 15 Aerialists, Seven Herds of Elephants, Five Caravans of Camels, a Monster Trained Hippopotamus, the Nettie Carroll Troupe of Tight Wire Experts, Beautiful Senorita Victoria Codona, Miss Katie Sandwina Strongest Woman That Ever Lived, Berzac’s Marvelous Mules and lots more.   

This program is an original antique fully complete and intact with light handling wear and some toning to the paper from age.  Overall condition is very good.
