Pair of Old '60 & '73 Mexican Folk Art Ex Voto Retablo (?) 8" Wooden Pigs Hand Carved and HandPainted Figurines
The Tradition: Ex-votos are devotional paintings created to thank a saint or deity 
*The provided information was found during searching online. I am not familiar with this kind of items. These two Pig Figurines were part of Lot of other items I have purchase from Estate Sale. Also I am showing the dates showing on Figurines. For sale as is.
Item show age and usage wear onto wood and paint, including nips and scratches onto surface.  For sale as is.
Measurements approx.: Weight of each Figurine 8 oz. (Total of two prior the packing: 1 lbs.)
Each Figurine is around 8" L x 4.5" H & around 2.25" W in the "body" or 2.5" W in the "ears" place. (Lot of 2)
1st: Green Pig Date 1960
One side featuring a detailed landscape scene depicting a dark silhouette of a horse and mountains.
Another side featuring text, created to thank a San Pascul Bailon.

2nd: Dark Red Pig Date 2-8-73
One side featuring a rustic landscape medallion. A hand-painted scenic medallion depicting a thatch-roofed country hut in fire.
Another side featuring text, created to thank a saint El Señor de la Columna for surviving a dangerous event.
"Estoy muy agradecida con el señor de la Columna por ayudanos a salir con bien cuando se quemara nuestro Jacal a causa de un fogón donde hacíamos las tortillas 2-6-73 Eva Maria Lopez T."
