Burgundy red cover with gilt spine title and gilt top edge (THE HOME LIBRARY on spine). Two pages with a 2-3 inch top center tear (newly taped), that appears to be related to manufacture. Small damp stain at the bottom cover corner that lightly affects the front pages. Secure binding with clean pages and light wear to a few cover corner tips. The jacket is damp-stained at the bottom and corner, with small edge tears and chips. 7 1/2 x 5 1/4 with 816 pages. Scarce with dust jacket. Undated, circa 1890.
