Antique Bronze Statue Medieval Warrior Gargoyle St. George? Wooden Base
*As Found
I believe this is an older bronze piece, but unsure of exact age, metal, maker, etc. It is a nicely detailed statue of an armored Roman/Gothic/Medieval warrior on a horse with a gargoyle perched on his headgear and serpent on his chest piece. Once held some spear/lance/weapon in his hand. Thought it was St. George, but is perhaps the calm before or after fighting the dragon? Truly not sure, and I couldn't find exact image like it online...buying exactly what you see in the photos. Piece is non-magnetic, mounted on an oval painted wooden base, see photos for approximate measurements. Exactly as found & pictured - untouched/uncleaned with surface grit from age/storage, gargoyle missing 1 wing & spear/lance is missing...please see all photos for specifics.
