This is an early WD Clement 10mm "Disappearing Bed" watchmakers lathe. I can't make out the serial number but pretty sure it is low 3 digits. The patina obscures the serial number. Plating is a little flakey as you can see in the pictures. The WD Clement is stamped deeper on the end of bed. These were primarily made from the 1910s to the 1930s. This is a prime candidate for restoration. It has a well made adapter for 8mm collets too. Not sure who made it, but it is a feat of machine work for tolerance and integrity. I planned to put this on a bench but need to clear out some projects to make room to organize the lathes and tooling. I have seen some vintage lathes that have been nicely painted but am not sure how I feel about that. Guys at Advanced Plating in TN are awesome but I am not sure how they would feel about a Clement lathe.

This weighs 12# raw and will be well packed  in a new double walled box with full insurance.
