For your consideration is a classic 1868-1870 definitive postage stamp from Romania featuring the profile portrait of Prince Carol I. This imperforate twenty-five bani denomination is a scarcer used example featuring a striking bicolour printing with a blue central portrait medallion and a yellow orange outer frame.

The stamp boasts very good eye appeal from the front, featuring four clear margins completely surrounding the classic design layout. The specimen displays a highly collectible, distinct black ink circular town postmark strike reading GALATZ across the face alongside a bold, legible calendar day date reading 26 curving across the lower frame area.

The reverse side shows natural paper aging and is shown in high resolution for your inspection. Please note there is a prominent horizontal paper crease running entirely across the upper third section of the backing paper. The back shows very minor cancellation ink bleed-through from the strong front strike, but the stamp remains completely free from heavy backing paper residue or thick modern glue.

This particular item was acquired as part of a large philatelic collection from a reputable auction house here in the United Kingdom. I currently have over 500 various Romanian stamps from this same auction lot available for sale. If you are looking for specific issues to complete your collection, please feel free to send a message.

Please note that I am not a professional stamp expert or grader. I encourage all collectors to examine the high resolution photographs provided and make their purchase decision based on their own expertise and judgment. This item will be securely packaged and shipped promptly with tracking for peace of mind.
