Vintage Fireplace Bellows
Wood and Leather Hearth Tool
Colonial Revival Style, Mid-20th Century
This vintage fireplace bellows features a classic Americana design, highlighted by a cast metal Federal-style eagle emblem on the front panel. The piece combines functional hearth utility with the decorative aesthetic of the Colonial Revival period, utilizing traditional materials including stained wood, studded bellows, and a tapered metal nozzle.
• Stained wood panels with a decorative cast metal eagle emblem
• Flexible black bellows material secured with brass-tone metal tacks
• Tapered brass-tone metal nozzle with aged patina
• Integrated leather hanging loop at the handle
• Dimensions: 15" Length x 2" Width x 2" Height
Condition: Good vintage condition with clear evidence of age and service. The wood panels show surface scratches and finish wear, particularly at the handle ends and edges. The black bellows material remains flexible but exhibits a small tear/separation at the seam where it meets the nozzle. The brass-tone nozzle shows significant natural patina, surface oxidation, and minor pitting consistent with proximity to heat and moisture. The metal eagle emblem is firmly attached.
