This car has been very well looked after throughout her life and has just come out of the paint shop having had some stone chips painted so she’s really tidy right now.
During my ownership I’ve kept the car regularly serviced. She has had a Cam belt and water pump replacement as well as a cam angle sensor replacement. I fitted new injectors, spark plugs and a K&N air filter.

I have replaced all of the Suspension with upgraded springs and adjustable dampers. Front brakes were replaced with PNM Four pot calipers. Rear calipers have also been replaced with PNM units thus reducing the handbrake issues well known to owners. Front and rear suspension arms are galvanised.
The soft top is in very good condition with near perfect seals. Interior has beautiful magnolia leather seats, bespoke navy blue mats and a period sensitive Baupunkt stereo with new speakers.
The Elan comes with a remote battery isolator as well as a CTeck battery conditioner to ensure the battery stays in good condition when she is not in use.
Alloy wheels are in good condition with a couple of Small scuffs. All four tires are good.
I’ve been a Lotus enthusiast for 30 years and always have an Elan in my collection. I always make sure my cars are tip top and would genuinely say this is one if the best Elans available.
When the Elan was launched in 1989 the motoring press hailed it as the best handling front wheel drive sports car in the world. They are an absolute delight to drive, fast, agile and the best value for money smiles per mile.
The series 2 cars were Produced after Bugatti took ownership of Lotus, only 800 were produced with fewer than 400 registered in the UK.
There were some upgrades from the original model which included galvanise suspension arms, larger wheels as well as an upgraded interior. The cars also benefited from a catalytic converter and slightly improved economy.
