Japanese late Meiji to early Showa period "aka-e" (red) Kutani porcelain covered bowl measuring 5 1/8" diameter (lid) x 3 5/8” high. The bowl and lid are decorated in overglaze rust-red and polychrome enamels with gilt and raised white (moriage) highlights featuring a blossoming tree in a floral landscape. The base holds a red two-character mark reading in Japanese "Kutani."  Circa 1900-1930.   Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.  There is minor wear to the overglaze enamels.  From an old Tucson, Arizona estate.
