A beautifully presented framed print by the renowned Scottish artist Hamish MacDonald D.A., depicting the coastal town of Portpatrick in his distinctive Scottish Colourist style, with bold colour, expressive brushwork and a semi-abstract interpretation of the landscape.
The reverse retains its original Eduardo Alessandro Studios gallery label identifying the work as 'Rooftops, Portpatrick'. Eduardo Alessandro Studios of Broughty Ferry, Dundee, was a respected Scottish fine art gallery and publisher closely associated with contemporary Scottish artists.
This artwork remains in its original frame and has not been dismantled. As such, I cannot confirm whether it is from a numbered limited edition or whether any hand signature exists beneath the mount, and it is therefore being sold as a framed published print exactly as shown.
The frame and mount are in good vintage condition with only light age-related wear. Please examine all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description.
A highly decorative Scottish coastal scene by one of Scotland's best-known contemporary landscape artists, ideal for collectors of Scottish art or anyone with an appreciation of Portpatrick and its picturesque harbour.
