This ribbon is a byproduct of sari silk production. The fabric strips are carefully joined together by tying or sewing done by women’s cooperatives in India.

As it is entirely handmade, each skein is unique. You can expect to find raw edges, creases, folds, knots, seams, and varying ribbon widths (approximately 20mm to 40mm when ironed flat) along the length.
