The Classic Carder swing picker (sometimes referred to as a boat picker) is very similar to the Brother swing picker, in that it has many purpose made 'points' for picking open raw fleece prior to carding, rather than nails. Many cheaper home made versions of pickers just have nails for picking with that can rip wool, but these are nicely shaped points that will not bend with use, and can be height adjusted to cater for the type of wool being processed. 2 end stops for safety, 2 clamps for securing to the work table, and a feeder for pushing wool in to prevent damage to hands. Measuring overall at base, 11" wide, x 22" tall, x 24" in length. The picking area is 8" width. Requires a sturdy bench to clamp to. Will process wool very quickly, helping to remove dust and dirt, and will fluff up raw washed fleece, or locks, so that it can be further carded or spun direct from the picker. this is a good tool if you have a lot of wool you want to process more quickly. Classic carders no longer make these so online info is minimal, but they are very similar to the Brother swing picker available in America only.
Due to weight, this will be sent as a large parcel, or collection at my house. If you require posting, this is a large heavy box, and I will need to select a postage type when it's packaged, and communicate with seller on that.
