Offered for your consideration is a pair of vintage KEF Type SP1137 Dividing Networks removed from my KEF Model 304 speakers, UK-manufactured in 1979. I believe these are the same crossovers used in the Concord III and possibly some other KEF speakers in this production era.

The Model 304’s used two (2) B200 SP1069 triangular-frame 8” woofers per cabinet (16Ω-rated, parallel-wired for a net nominal 8 ohms) which passed the input signal to a T33 SP1074 1” dome tweeter (8Ω-rated). KEF doesn’t give the crossover frequency in the 304's specs. But, they state that the lower position woofer has its output progressively reduced at frequencies above 200Hz, down to where just the upper mid/woofer is passing the signal to the tweeter at the crossover point. This driver arrangement is sometimes referred to as a “two and a half-way” system.

So, please see my large photos and read the remaining description to decide if these capable KEF crossover networks are correct for your needs.

These KEF crossovers are in clean, excellent condition. They feature a complement of large capacitors, resistors, and heavily wound isolated copper inductors. Plus, I’ve neatly bound the tweeter and woofer wires in pairs for the new owner’s convenience. In the 304, the woofer and tweeter wires were soldered directly to the drivers’ inputs, so that’s why there are no female clips present. I did, however, strip the sheathing at the end of each driver wire, instead of saddling the new owner with covered ends to deal with (the way practically every other seller would).

The tweeter wires are a lengthy 32” while the woofers’ are 13” and 9½” long, respectively. Also, the +/- terminal plate wires are soldered directly to the boards, while the terminals have no issues and hold speaker wire tightly.  And, the gray plastic circular risers—four for each unit—are included, but the screws are not. Overall, these dividing networks are very well preserved.

Most importantly, they were fully tested as functioning correctly with the original drivers before the speakers were disassembled. They’re an integral part of the special KEF sound! So, whether you plan to restore some 304’s, Concord III’s, or are considering them for a speaker building project with suitable drivers, you’ll be very pleased with these KEF crossover networks.

As pictured and described, this pair of KEF Type SP1137 dividing networks is offered at a competitive price.
