This vintage Gerber Legendary Blades carving set represents the mid-century peak of American cutlery manufacturing in Portland, Oregon. Founded by Joseph Gerber, the company became famous for using high-speed tool steel blades that maintained an exceptional edge. This set features the iconic "Snickersnee" carving knife, named after the 17th-century term for a large knife, paired with a matching carving fork and the "Dungnir" sharpening steel. Each piece features the signature cast chrome-plated handles designed for ergonomic balance and durability.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. Blades are bright with minimal surface use marks and no nicks or chips. Handles are secure and show light polishing wear. The walnut presentation case shows minor exterior scuffs; the interior red velvet lining has a notable vertical tear and area of loss on the lid as visible in photos. The original guarantee booklet is present with some creasing and edge wear.
