Here’s how we source our animal-origin finds:
Reusing, restoring, and repurposing existing materials when possible.
Naturally shed or molted: lawfully gathering shed antlers, feathers, and other materials released naturally by living animals.
Antique, vintage, and secondhand: giving pieces with history new life.
Estate sales, auctions, and collection dispersals: helping pieces from public, personal or private, museum, and educational collections find new stewards.
Field finds and natural deaths: legally recovering specimens from animals that died of natural causes or accident, including lawful roadside salvage.
Repaired and salvaged taxidermy: restoring and repurposing vintage and antique animal mounts.
Non-edible byproducts of managed edible wild game lawfully taken in the U.S.; domestic animals raised in the U.S. on pasture by small/hobby farms and family homesteads for food or humanely euthanized for veterinary care reasons at end of life.
Our collection reflects these strict sourcing standards. Additionally, we do not offer items from protected or migratory birds, cetaceans or marine mammals, bats, primates (including humans), or any other endangered or threatened species. We do not buy from or work with any foreign suppliers, non-accredited zoological or exotic animal parks, animal research facilities, fur farms, captive/high-fence hunting operations, or concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs, also known as factory farms).
