Classic Late 1970s Sunpak MX124 Electronic Flash – Complete with Original Box featuring Iconic "Owl" Artwork.
A fantastic piece of retro photography history from the late 1970s. This Sunpak MX124 manual flash is a brilliant addition for collectors of vintage camera tech or strobists looking for a classic "stunt" flash for creative off-camera setups.
Condition Report:
Cosmetics: The flash unit itself is in excellent, clean cosmetic condition with minimal signs of use. The battery compartment is clean.
The Box: Includes the original late-70s retro box featuring the highly collectible "Owl at Night" graphic design. The box shows some light edge wear consistent with age but is structurally sound and displays brilliantly on a shelf.
Functionality: *Please read carefully. The flash unit powers up and fires strongly via a PC sync cable. However, the internal "Ready/Test" indicator light does not illuminate, and the physical test button on the unit is non-responsive. It functions perfectly as an off-camera slave or cable-triggered unit, but is priced accordingly due to the indicator fault.
Key Features:
Classic manual exposure calculator dial on the reverse.
Compact, lightweight late-1970s design.
Fantastic vintage shelf-display piece due to the rare owl box art.
Shipping: Will be carefully packaged to protect the original box during transit - P&P as listed above.
Note: As with all vintage flashes, please check trigger voltage compatibility before mounting directly onto modern digital cameras.
** Please ensure to study the photographs well, as they form an important part of the description **
