Up for auction is a starter or craft lot of 8 vintage glass telegraph and power line insulators. This collection features a great mix of classic aqua and clear glass, highlighted by a deeper sage green color variant. What included in this lot:
- (1) Deep Sage Green, Hemingray 42 - A nice, darker green color variant that stands out visually on a shelf. Please see condition notes for flaws.
- (2) Aqua Hemingray 42 - Classic telegraph style pieces with sharp drip points. Great clarity.
- (2) Aqua Hemingray 12 - Smaller, highly collectible "pony" style pieces.
- (1) Clear Whitall Tatum No. 1 - Features a smooth base. Clean glass.
- (1) Clear Whitall Tatum No. 2 - Standard utility style with smooth base.
- (1) Aqua Brookfield New York - Classic turn-of-the-century piece featuring a smooth base.
Condition Notes:
Six of the pieces are in excellent vintage condition with typical minor surface wear from line use. Please note the following flaws on the remaining two pieces:
1. The deep sage green Hemingray 42 has a chip on the top dome area and a chipped drip point on the bottom rim.
2. The aqua Brookfield piece has a small chip on the inside thread area, which is hidden from view when displayed upright.
Antique and vintage items typically have wear associated with years of age and use which adds to their charm. Please see all photos as they are considered part of the description. Any display items used in photos are not included in auction unless otherwise stated in item details.
