Links im Mittelgrund venezianische Wohnbebauung, rechts die reich gegliederte Renaissancefassade der Scuola Grande di San Marco. Im Vordergrund eine einzelne stehende Figur am Gitter. Helles, gleichmäßiges Seitenlicht modelliert Skulptur und Fassade. Weicher Tonwert, typisch für Albuminabzüge der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts.

Fotografie selbst in gutem Erhaltungszustand, gleichmäßige Sepiafärbung, vereinzelte blasse Stockflecken. Fehlstelle an der Blattecke rechts unten. Im Streiflicht sind vereinzelt leichte Kratzer auf der Oberfläche sichtbar. Karton leicht gewellt.

- Description: The central motif is the bronze equestrian statue of Bartolomeo Colleoni on a high marble base with relief medallions and pilasters, surrounded by a wrought-iron lattice. On the left in the middle ground are Venetian residential buildings, on the right the richly structured Renaissance façade of the Scuola Grande di San Marco. In the foreground, a single standing figure on the lattice. Bright, even sidelight models the sculpture and façade. Soft tonal values, typical of albumen prints from the second half of the 19th century.

- Condition: Good condition. Wavy cardboard backing with slight discolouration and occasional foxing, especially in the upper area. Corners minimally bumped. Photograph itself in good condition, even sepia colouring, scattered pale foxing. Loss at the corners of the sheet lower right. Some light scratches visible on the surface in raking light. Cartoon slightly wavy.
