This attractively engraved sheet of unissued Banknotes is from the Traders Bank of Richmond, Virginia. The bank ordered these notes on the eve of the Civil War from the American bank Note Company in New York but with the onset of the Civil War, these notes were never issued. The only examples exist a reprint from the original engraved plates. Haxby categorizes these unissued notes as proofs. This is one of the best priced sheets printed on hard stock paper we’ve ever offered and is just part of our extensive inventory of US, Confederate & Obsolete banknotes available online and at our store in California.
We photographed this sheet sheet of four notes under natural lighting to assist you with your evaluation. Additionally the photos zoom in quite well, allowing you to view this beautifully engraved sheet under extreme magnification. This historic sheet will be carefully packaged and sent with free US shipping via USPS with postal tracking.
~ Please note there are a great many obsolete banknote reproductions being offered online that are simply high-quality modern photographic copies - not authentic engraved notes.
