Vintage Safavid Style Tinned Copper Bowl, Kaskul Form, with Chased Calligraphy

This is a handcrafted metal bowl, likely tinned copper, shaped in a traditional 'kaskul' or begging bowl form, which flares outwards towards the rim. The body is densely decorated with fine chased (engraved) ornamentation arranged in registers. The upper band features Persian Thuluth calligraphy interspersed with small circular medallions containing figures. Below this is a broad diaper pattern of intricate floral and geometric latticework, followed by a scrolling vine motif.
