This is a silver gelatin photograph that is mounted onto a photographer's card mount and is 7½ x 5 inches (188x127mm).

It shows a young woman reclining on the ground in a studio setting, leaning against a rustic wooden fence. She is wearing a wide-brimmed hat, a tailored button-up jacket, and a heavily ruffled skirt that is lifted to reveal her legs in light-coloured and shoes. Her left hand rests on her hip while her right hand touches the brim of her hat. The studio floor is covered with a textured material resembling grass or moss. The mount has printed text reading 'Bassano Ltd.' on the bottom left and '25, Old Bond St. W.' on the bottom right.

On the reverse, in relatively modern handwriting, is the name Miss Emilie Tree and the phrase "Noted Danger" underneath. I suspect this may have been copied from an earlier document and can't find any reference to an actress by the name of Emilie Tree, but this may have been misheard or incorrectly transcribed
