This was an estate find, attached in the photos is the information I could find on the item. The blade itself is in good shape with some scratches on it but the design still looks good. The brass hand guard at the bottom as seen in photos had the post pop out of the hole, but was able to be placed back, it does not effect function as long as you do not pull on it. The handle is wrapped in imitation leather and the scabbard had quite a bit of rust, I cleaned it up using Rem Oil and 0000 steel wool, there are minor rust spots still and some pitting as well, but gives it a nice patina look. There is also a small chip on the tip of the the blade, not very noticeable unless you feel for it. There were only 1,130 of these made. Very cool collectors piece or could be used functionally for reenactment.
