TELL ME THAT YOU LOVE ME SHEET MUSIC 1912 FAMOUS LYRICS TEAM WHITSON FRIEDMAN

This piece of antique American sheet music titled “Tell Me That You Love Me” was written by the famous lyricist Beth Slater Whitson and Composer Leo Friedman during the golden age of American sheet music. The duo also wrote “Let Me Call You Sweetheart” and “Meet Me Tonight in Dreamland.” Harold Rossiter Music Co., in Chicago, Illinois, published this piece in 1912.

Beautiful color lithographed cover also has an intact centerfold but has normal vintage wear of tanned pages and small tears around cover edges where pianists handled the music and turned pages quickly while playing. Former owner also wrote her name on the cover as was common practice. See photos.

The creative partnership of Whitson and Friedman was incredibly successful. In fact, the cover of this sheet music notes their credits for those previous chart-toppers right under their names. The romantic cover illustration features a couple embracing in front of blossoming trees, a hallmark of the idyllic, romanticized cover art.
