Vintage 1920s/30s Art Deco Peking Glass Cabochon Filigree Bib Collar Necklace
A beautiful vintage Art Deco bib collar necklace, dating to around the 1920s/30s, with ornate chrome-plated brass filigree work and striking green glass cabochon decoration.
This elegant necklace features three articulated front panels, each formed from delicate pierced filigree stampings with a wonderfully lace-like appearance. The central panel is particularly decorative, built from layered metalwork with scrolling detail, bead accents and prong-set green glass stones. The two outer panels echo the same ornate design, creating a balanced, graceful bib-style silhouette.
The necklace is set with softly mottled green Peking glass-style cabochons, giving the piece a rich jade-green look so popular during the Art Deco period. These are complemented by smaller iridescent green glass cabochons, which add a flash of blue-green colour and catch the light beautifully. The combination of oxidised silver-tone metal, warmer aged brass highlights and luminous green glass gives the necklace a romantic antique character.
The neck chain is also beautifully detailed, made from elongated diamond-shaped links decorated with raised floral motifs, alternating with small round wired beads.

Good vintage condition, with wear to the chrome plating and surface finish commensurate with age. The necklace retains a lovely antique patina, and the filigree panels display beautifully when worn. The three central iridescent green glass cabochons may possibly be later replacements, though this cannot be confirmed.
