Vinyl records, produced in Europe, are fully exempt from the new reciprocal tariffs (including the 15% additional duties under EO 14257 and the 2025 tariff schedule) as vinyl records are classified as informational materials / sound recordings (HTSUS Chapter 85).
In the event of any error by customs authorities resulting in unexpected duties or fees being charged despite this exemption, the seller cannot be held responsible, as these charges are determined and enforced solely by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The buyer remains liable for any such import fees.
