Antique Abraham Lincoln Presidential Buff China 2-Tier Plate Stand 10.5" h RARE!  

Unique historical china for sale - see last 3 photos for examples and information on the service's history, this rare stand and separately listed tureen are believed to be part of the original set!  You can read more online if you search "China service of the Lincoln administration".  These 2 pieces have been handed down in a prominent Philadelphia family and were originally purchased at an auction held in Philadelphia in the 1880's, where other pieces of the original Lincoln Buff China were deaccessioned.  I can not say with full certainty that they are, but they have the correct color/banding, they have the correct age (see original hardware on bottom of the stand) and the family has the correct timeline/history to substantiate it.  You are buying what you see, if it is a reproduction than it is an older one and there are no other known/found examples. Feels like a medium-weight ironstone-like china, see photos for measurements - it is exactly as found & pictured, untouched/uncleaned, *normal signs of age/use...see photos for specifics.  *Hardware connector is a little loose (not tightened), some gilt loss, few small rim chips.
