For your consideration is this antique etching by accomplished American artist Gustav F. Goetsch. (1877-1969) It is both pencil signed and titled by the artist "Boats in Gloucester Harbor Mass" in the lower margin. It comes in what is likely an original black wood frame with an old St. Louis label that measures 13 3/4 x 14 1/2" overall. The matted opening measures 5 1/2 x 7 1/2".

Mr. Goetsch is an accomplished, prolific American artist, known for his painting and etching talents as well as his long tenure as an instructor at The Washington University School of Fine Arts in St. Louis.

This nicely detailed work of Gloucester Harbor remains nicely preserved in what is likely its original frame. The simple matte shows some minor staining and looks to be no more than a sheet of paper. Otherwise, only some very minor signs of some acid migration from what is likely a non-archival backing.
