Antique, circa 1910s, Nippon hand painted porcelain round 2-tier Serving Plate. Stamped on the bottom in green • Hand Painted, Nippon, "M" (Morimura Brothers) within a wreath in green.

The Morimura Bros. Co. in Japan was the major producer of "Nippon" and Noritake porcelain during this time period. Nippon is a westernized version of "Ni hon" meaning Japan. Pieces were required to have a mark from their country of origin for export after the McKinley Tariff Act of 1890.

Plate measures approximately 9-1/2” in diameter and the upper plate measures approximately 4-5/8” in diameter and 2” high above the bottom plate.

This serving dish is in very nice vintage Preowned condition with no chips, cracks. It was originally owned by my grandmother. SEE PHOTOS for details. Please contact me if you have any questions.
