A set of four framed antique butterfly engravings taken from James Duncan’s The Natural History of British Butterflies (1835), published as part of Sir William Jardine’s celebrated Naturalist’s Library. The plates were engraved by the renowned Scottish engraver W.H. Lizars and feature hand-coloured butterfly studies with scientific identification.
