This is a character doll's clothing accessory piece for approximately 10- to 12-inch-tall collectible play dolls from Fisher Price's Dora the Explorer "Dora Saves the Mermaids" toy line. The hard-to-find mermaid doll's fish tail is approximately 6 inches long. It is decorated with a starfish pattern and has iridescent fins. It could be used to recreate Dora's adventures from Nickelodeon's popular Dora the Explorer animated TV show on Nick Jr.

I believe it originally came with a "Mariana" the mermaid doll from a dress-up under the sea or beach fiesta doll assortment that was made by Mattel / Fisher Price in 2006. It may fit similar approximately 10-to-12-inch-tall Madame Alexander, Mattel, or Disney Princess dolls.

Please note that this auction is for the item shown only, and dolls and other accessories are not included.  It may not fit all doll body types.  

This replacement piece would be a wonderful addition to a collection, as well as a great party costume accessory for a doll's Halloween masquerade ball or little theatre production. You could also use it to help customize your own one-of-a-kind (OOAK) custom clothing or art and craft creations, or as a wonderful addition to an "Ever After," or "Once Upon a Time" miniature clothing boutique store or to a holiday diorama display.

It has never been used or displayed, but may have age or manufacturing flaws. Although I try to mention or photograph any significant flaws that I see, it is being sold as is, so please look closely at the pictures and ask any questions before bidding.

My items come from a variety of sources, and I do not have knowledge of how or where they were stored before I acquired them.  However, all items are kept in a smoke-free environment once I receive them.  This particular item was purchased directly from a store and, to my knowledge, has never been exposed to tobacco smoke.
