1860’s Reverend Thomas H Stack tintype. Baltimore Maryland advertising back. Stack was born in Union Virginia. He was attending VMI when the US Civil War started. Stack served in the CSA in artillery and signal corps duties. He enlisted in the CSA Army in 1863. His service ended in January of 1865. Stack graduated Georgetown University in 1868. Stack was the president of Boston College in 1887. He served a month before he died in office. Tintype is about 2 by 4 inch overall with the mat. The mat has stains, toning, wear and creasing. The tintype has stains, toning, wear, creasing, scratches, rust, emulsion and paint loss.
