Renault Clio 1.5DCi 2004 Mk4 – BLACK 80BHP

A sad day as I let go of my Clio that has served me well for 17 years. Purchased when it had 50,500 miles on the clock in 2009, it has now cleared 208,500 and still going strong.

A work-horse of a car that has rarely let me down however a new car makes it surplus to requirements.

Due to its age, it’s looking a bit rough around the edges, but it still starts every time and drives well.

The car is taxed till 1^st Aug 2026 and MOT’d till 8^th Sept 2026.

Purchaser may buy as a cheap run around or bought for spares and repairs

Here’s the positives and negatives:

Negatives

·       208,500 miles on the clock

·       Rust around rear wheel arches

·       A couple of stone chips on front windscreen

·       Nearside front fog light missing and scuff on bumper

·       Front passenger headrest broken/missing

·       Driver’s seat and seatbelt showing signs of wear

·       Rear wiper stopped working

·       Slight movement in nearside ball-joint

·       Heating slider not working so switch in place to by-pass it

(Only option is Min and Max nothing in between 😊)

Positives

·       Still reliable as it’s continually done a daily 30 mile round trip to work and back for 17 years

·       Serviced every year

·       Still averaging 60+mpg

·       Cheap annual road tax at £20

·       Still has a few months of tax and MOT

·       Sound engine which wouldn’t surprise me if it went another 100k miles
