BRIGHT COLORED AND NICELY PRESERVED EXAMPLE OF SHOWCASE #11 (CHALLENGERS OF THE UNKNOWN). VERY COOL KEY SILVER AGE DC ISSUE THAT WILL ONLY APPRECIATE IN VALUE.
I purchased it in the early 2000s and have kept it in dry storage inside plastic case for 15+ years.
This is an ORIGINAL, and NOT a reprint obviously. Published in 1957 by DC Comics
It has NOT been graded. I would call it VG to VG+ in my opinion and I've been doing this for over 25 years.
Bright colors, rounded corners with small chunks missing on the ones by the spine, and fairly straight edges with typical chipping, NO noticeable folds or large creases on cover, some spine rollover (staples still attached, top one barely). Back cover is nicely presentable as well with some tears and chipping by spine and small piece missing out of top left corner as well as some faint water staining at the very edge of bottom side. Inside has off white pages, all nice and very legible.
I've seen similar examples sell in the $350-500 range in the past so i'm pricing this one very fairly for a book that you would think looks fairly presentable with good colors!
These make a great holiday gift to a fan or loved one. Priced very fairly for a rare piece, key piece of Silver Age history only to appreciate in value as Marvel and DC Studios keeps pushing out movies.
Please make sure you look at pictures and ask questions. Items sold AS IS. No returns/refunds. I don't want to hear it.
