Somewhere beyond abandoned factories and collapsed forests.. there is said to be a wasteland known only as The Chair Fields; a rotting dimension where broken furniture drags itself endlessly through ash and fog. Travelers whisper about one creature in particular: SHREDD....
Long ago, SHREDD was believed to be an ordinary wooden chair sitting inside a forgotten roadside motel.
But after decades of violence, rage, and human misery soaked into its frame, the chair changed. One night, guests reported hearing splintering wood and wet tearing sounds coming from Room #6 before the entire motel vanished without explanation. In its place remained deep scratches in the pavement and strange trails of stuffing leading into the woods. Since then, SHREDD has wandered the hellscape between worlds, half destroyed but somehow still alive.
Witnesses describe SHREDD as a limping cryptid with only one surviving eye glaring from its warped face. Its stuffing hangs from the torn seat like exposed organs, swaying as it walks through the dark. The creature is said to appear near junkyards, condemned buildings, and places where forgotten objects rot alone. People who encounter SHREDD often report hearing the sound of dragging wooden legs outside their homes late at night, followed by scratching at the door. Paranormal researchers believe SHREDD is not searching for victims, but for the missing pieces of itself scattered across reality. According to legend, every splinter it recovers makes it stronger, and one day the Scary Chair Hellscape may finally break open into our world..
Scary Chairs are cryptids sometimes seen phasing into our perceivable reality for only seconds or minutes at a time. Once human, now cursed, their bones twisted into splinters and warped into grotesque wooden forms. They roam for eternity through a strange purgatory: a Roman-like hellscape of endless ruins, ash, and silence.
Their wooden legs creak across the wasteland until they eventually snap beneath them, leaving the creatures collapsed and motionless for centuries at a time. Unable to die, they are left to endlessly ponder their own inaction, cynicism, and failures in life throughout the eons.
Some witnesses claim the Chairs stare at people with expressions of sorrow, envy, or resentment before abruptly vanishing back into whatever dimension spawned them. Others believe every abandoned chair carries the possibility of becoming one.
