Here we have something unusual and that would be an ANTIQUE POWDER HORN inscribed HACKER MARTIN GUN MAKER CEDAR CREEK TENN. …Hacker Martin was a maker of MUZZLELOADER RIFLEs and Pistols in the 1940s - 1960s and was responsible for keeping the art form alive. Years ago I bought one of his pistols from an old man who had been friends with Hacker. After much dealing i managed to get the horn that he had obtained from Martin too. I think that it is an original antique horn that was inscribed by Hacker Martin when he was working in Tenn. before moving to Virgina. Horn is in excellent condition no damage or problems , no holes or moth damage. Wood butt plug is held in with wooden pegs and is fine. No plug in spout.
