From the personal collection of minority Pittsburgh Pirates owner Thomas Johnson is this Christmas gift bestowed upon him from Bing Crosby, the iconic crooner and actor who was also co-owner of the Pirates from 1946 until his death in 1977. Bing gifted this STERLING St. Christopher Medal with an attached chain and sterling horseshoe on the other end. The medal is engraved on verso, “XMAS - 1947 FROM BING.”
