This listing is for the PAIR. The only thing I know about these is they were hanging on my mother's bedroom wall since 1968.  I do not know the origin. They feel like wood (please see photos of backside) and look to be coated with a gauze fabric on back before coating on the back.  Dust had accumulated in the teeth, mouth - I tried to remove as much as possible with a dry soft toothbrush.  Some paint loss on the upper outside edge of the non-smiley one, which doesn't really show when on wall.  A small crack and chip (see 6th and 7th photos) near the dimple of the smiley one.  Each measures approx 8 to 9 inches high and 6" wide. Will ship very well protected and insured.
