This is a well-crafted and realistic story, suitable for adult and even teenagers. I felt transported back to the early 19th century and quickly became engrossed in the story. The whole series is over 20 books, but here are the first 5 in a convenient set. Buyer beware: once you read these, you will want to buy the rest of them too!
