A plat map of Nashville, Tennessee, dated 1908 showing the area bounded by Hume Street (north), Jefferson Street (south), 8th Avenue (west) and 1st Avenue at Cumberland River (east). Various buildings, landscapes, acreage, and street routes are shown. Some of the buildings depicted on the map include: Approach to New Jefferson Street Bridge, Elliot School, North Nashville Baptist Church, Tennessee Academy of Music, Church of the Assumption and School, Monroe Street Methodist Episcopal Church, Warioto Cotton Mills, Morgan Hamilton Company, German Methodist Episcopal Church, numerous lumberyards and some meat packing and processing plants including Cumberland Telegraph and Telephone Company, Fire Engine House no. 5, Central Lumber Company, Nashville Builders Supply Company, Nashville Abattoir Hide and Melting Association, Turner, Day and Woolworth Handle Company, Neuhoff Abattoir and Packing Company, W.G. Bush Brickyard, and Tri-State Milling Company.  Portions of the Louisville and Nashville (L&N) Railroad, Nashville Terminal Company, and the Illinois Central Railroad.
